Football fans will closely watch the UEFA Champions League return match on Wednesday between PSG and London’s Arsenal clubs.
The tournament organizers have decided that the referee for the heated match in Paris will be Felix Zwayer.
Foreign media mentions that at the beginning of his career, the German was involved in a particularly unpleasant story.
In 2005, F. Zwayer accepted a bribe of 300 euros from his colleague Robert Hoyzer before a local match.
After the match-fixing scandal became known, the referees faced appropriate penalties. F. Zwayer was given a six-month suspension, while R. Hoyzer was sentenced to two years in prison and banned from football for life.
The first match between PSG and Arsenal in London ended with a 1:0 victory for the visitors.
