After the 2:3 loss to the Spain national team in the Nations League, England's head coach Thomas Tuchel acknowledged that his team made too many obvious mistakes.

However, in the strategist's opinion, the overall play was worthy of a better result.

"Today we did everything to beat Spain. At this level, everything comes down to details. We made too many obvious mistakes.

In the last 20 meters of the pitch, the opponents were more precise and colder-headed – they managed to turn our lost balls into very dangerous chances.

We had the opportunity to win and we will continue to strive for improvement. Nevertheless, I believe that our performance today was enough to achieve victory against Spain," said T. Tuchel.
