Voting held in the Ireland national team regarding the match against Israel

The Ireland national football team will play UEFA Nations League matches against Israel in Hungary on Sunday.

This decision was made after a vote among the national team players, where the majority opposed the boycott.

Football Association of Ireland (FAI) Chief Executive David Courell confirmed this decision after several hours of discussions among players, coaching staff, and federation leaders.

The vote was held after goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu informed national team coach Heimir Hallgrimsson that he did not want to participate in the two matches against Israel.

He became the only player to withdraw from the national team for this reason.
