In the D division, the situation for the Lithuanian national team has become complicated – it is unlikely that they will be able to compete for first place.

Lithuania lost 0:1 to the Azerbaijan national team away.

In the middle of the first half, Artur Dolžnikov sent the ball into the net, but the goal was disallowed due to a handball.

Abdulakh Khaybulaev put the hosts ahead in the 25th minute.

The same goal scorer received a second yellow card after the break. However, after a VAR review, the red card was rescinded, and instead, a yellow card was given to A. Dolzhnikov, who tried to provoke a foul from the opponent.

Lithuania applied pressure on their opponents for a long time, but they did not score a goal.

After 3 matches in the D division, Edgaras Jankauskas' team has 4 points.
