The storm damaged the Panevėžys football arena

A storm that swept through Lithuania damaged the inflatable football arena at the Beržų progimnazija stadium in Panevėžys.

As reported by sekunde.lt, a sporting event was taking place at the time, but upon noticing damage to the structure and a crack, the event was immediately halted and people were safely evacuated.

To avoid further damage, air was released from the dome.

The municipality plans to engage contractors, designers, and specialists who will assess the condition of the arena and determine the causes of the incident.
