In the UEFA Nations League Division A Group 3 match, the England national team defeated the Czech Republic 3:0 at Wembley Stadium in London.
The main hero of the evening was the hosts' captain Harry Kane, who scored two goals in his 125th international match.
The English broke through in the 27th minute.
After a dangerous pass from Kane into the penalty area, the ball was deflected into his own net by Czech defender Vladimír Coufal.
In the 40th minute, Kane doubled the lead himself – the forward took advantage of a pass from Morgan Rogers, and before the break, the score was 2:0.
Kane scored again in the 57th minute.
After a delivery from Lewis Hall from a corner, the England captain headed in to secure the victory – 3:0.
England controlled most of the match: they had 64% ball possession, took 17 shots, while the Czech Republic did not hit the target once.
This evening was special for Kane due to his personal achievement. Having played his 125th match for the England national team, he equaled Peter Shilton for the most appearances in men's national team history.
After today's two goals, Kane has now scored 91 goals representing England.
