Legendary Lithuanian footballer Valdas Ivanauskas watches with regret the changes in the national team.
Recently, it was announced that the LFF has decided to part ways with long-time team manager Edgaras Jankauskas.
According to V. Ivanauskas, the federation should primarily evaluate the performances of certain players.
“The latest results, of course, are unsatisfactory. But it is not the coach's fault; it is the players' fault.
If they do not follow instructions, or cannot execute them due to a lack of skill, it is certainly not the coach's fault.
(...) Players must take responsibility. Some of them do not deserve to wear the Lithuanian national team jersey,” V. Ivanauskas told Delfi journalist Linas Jocius.
