Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappe stated that he considers himself one of the contenders for the 2026 Ballon d'Or.

"I think this is the year to win it. My best advocate is my own legs. No matter how much I talk, the most important thing for me is that the Ballon d'Or returns to Real Madrid.”

"It has to come back to Santiago Bernabeu, to the fans of the Madrid club, and bring joy to all these people again. They deserve it more than anything else,” said the Frenchman.

K. Mbappe spoke respectfully about Barcelona talent and one of his competitors in the race for the Ballon d'Or, Lamine Yamal.
