France's national team manager Zinedine Zidane expressed dissatisfaction with his players' performance in the Nations League match (1:1) against Italy.

"I am very disappointed. We deserved more, but that's football.

We should have finished the game, but I am proud of my players," said the coach.

"In the first half, we controlled the ball, but our play was ineffective.

That was what we tried to correct during the break. To punish the opponent, you need to use the spaces.

Speaking about our game, we were ready for the match. They played their football – defensive, Italian. We did not really face any major threat," explained the strategist.

In the Nations League A division Group 1, the French are in first place, while the Italians are in third.
