W. Saliba: ‘After the final, I didn't want to ruin the party for my teammates’ © scanpix

London's Arsenal defender William Saliba commented on his emotions during the parade after losing the Champions League final to PSG:

"When you concede an equalizing goal in the final from a penalty and then lose in a penalty shootout, of course, it’s disappointing. We had a good game plan.

After the loss, the next day at the parade, I preferred to force myself to smile so I wouldn’t ruin the celebration.”

Currently, William Saliba represents the French national team in the World Cup.

He played the entire match against the Senegal national team, which the French won 3-1.
