The former legendary Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson reminisced about having dinner with Pep Guardiola in 2012.

In his latest book "Games Of My Life," Alex Ferguson wrote: "Over the last ten years, I often wondered what might have been if dinner in New York with Pep (Guardiola) had taken place a few months earlier in 2012."

I would have done everything I could to persuade him to join Manchester United, probably."

In 2013, Sir Alex Ferguson retired from Manchester United.
