The Portugal national football team started with four victories in the UEFA Nations League and has already secured a place in the quarter-finals.
However, in the recent window, there was more talk not about the team's performance or results, but about the team captain Cristiano Ronaldo.
The football legend left the team after coach Jorge Jesus did not bring him off the bench in the match against Norway on September 27.
It is true that this situation will be attempted to be resolved before the next international window in November. This was also mentioned by the president of the Portugal Football Federation, Pedro Porenca.
"We are talking about the greatest football player of all time, who has already given more than two decades to this national team.
He will always have a place in the national team, if he can come to it. Cristiano knows this. What happened was simply a misunderstanding that we need to resolve internally.
Ronaldo is a symbol of Portugal. He had every right to end his career with the national team after the World Cup, but he decided to continue out of love for his country,” commented P. Porenca on the situation.
