"Barcelona” club president Joan Laporta commented on Lamine Yamal's chances of winning the "Ballon d’Or” award:

"I would really like L. Yamal to win this prize.

I would also be very happy if some "Barca” player wins the "Ballon d’Or.”

"L. Yamal is a very mature player. A genius and an incredible footballer.”

Lamine Yamal fought for two titles with the "Barcelona” club last year.

He also became a world champion with the Spanish national team.
