The Madrid team "Atletico" has taken urgent steps to address the issue of forward Julian Alvarez.

This summer, the "mattresses" did not want to sell the Argentine to the "Barcelona" club, and later they were also left empty-handed when it came to the London team "Arsenal," which was interested in the player.

After yesterday's "La Liga" match, in which "Atletico" drew 2:2 at home with "Villarreal," and J. Alvarez was whistled by the spectators, the Madrid club decided to try to unravel the complicated situation.

According to the Spanish press, today the team's head coach Diego Simeone, sporting director Mateu Alemany, and team chairman Miguel Angel Gil Marin gathered for an urgent meeting.

Atletico still has a week to consider its options – the players' transfer window will close on September 1.
