Football agent Jorge Mendes did not hold back praise for "Barcelona" club star Lamine Yamal and his chances of winning the "Ballon d'Or" award:

"This award is meant for a genius, and L. Yamal is the only one who can win it this year. He is a genius...

No one can be compared to him after last season."

"L. Yamal deserves this prize for an excellent season."

19-year-old Lamine Yamal scored 24 goals in 45 matches last season.

He also became a world champion with the Spanish national team a month ago.
