England continues its journey in the world football championship.
The "Three Lions" defeated Mexico 3:2 in the round of 16 match early Monday morning and advanced to the quarter-finals.
As the first half was nearing its end, Jude Bellingham scored two quick goals, but in the 42nd minute, Julian Quinones reduced the Mexican deficit.
In the 54th minute, the English had to continue the match with one player less, as defender Jarell Quansah received a red card.
Despite this, in the 60th minute, Harry Kane converted a penalty kick, giving England a 3:1 lead.
In the 69th minute, Mexico was awarded a penalty kick, which Raúl Jiménez successfully converted.
In the remaining time, Mexico was unable to equalize, meaning another team of the tournament hosts was leaving the world championship.
In the quarter-finals, the English will face Norway.
