Before the knockout match between Mexico and Ecuador, both teams' fans expressed support for Venezuela, which has been severely affected by an earthquake. Hundreds of people have died, and some are still missing.

Fans gathered at the legendary "Azteca" stadium chanted: "Venezuela, you are not alone! You are not alone!"

The match was won 2:0 by the Mexico national team, advancing them to the tournament's round of 16.
