"Kaunas Žalgiris" football club has its first newcomer for the upcoming summer transfer window. The Lithuanian champions have reached an agreement with a forward from Brazil – Renan Oliveira.

The Kaunas team has signed a contract with the player who has previously played in Lithuania until the end of 2027.

The 29-year-old forward arrives in Lithuania from the most titled club in Bosnia and Herzegovina, FK "Sarajevo," where he spent more than three years with a short break.

At the club in the capital of Bosnia, R. Oliveira scored 28 goals and provided 8 assists in 82 matches played.

While belonging to "Sarajevo," R. Oliveira was also loaned for six months to Bogotá's "Inter" club in Colombia.

The footballer, who began his career in Brazil, started his European career in Slovakia with "Zlate Moravce," later spending a season at Malta's "San Gwann" club, then representing Ukrainian clubs PFC "Lviv" and "Kolos," and played for half a season on loan in Portugal for "Gil Vicente."

In the 2022 season, he played for Vilnius' "Žalgiris" club, with which he won the then A league and LFF cup, and became the top scorer in the Lithuanian championship.
