The Italy national football team has caught the attention of experienced coach Roberto Mancini.

The 61-year-old specialist decided to try to pull his compatriots from an unprecedented abyss and become their conductor.

As journalist Nicolo Schira writes, R. Mancini personally contacted the candidate for the president of the Italian Football Federation, Giovanni Malago, and expressed his wishes.

The strategist does not want to "turn his back" on his countrymen and would be satisfied with an annual salary of 2 million euros.

However, R. Mancini demands at least a four-year contract.
