On the last day of the Serie A season, the fate of the European spots was dramatically decided.

Surprisingly, the AC Milan team failed to overcome Cagliari in the final round – 1:2.

The Rossoneri only needed a single point to secure a place in the top four.

Meanwhile, Como did their job excellently. The players coached by Fabregas won 4:1 away against Cremonese.

AS Roma also made it into the top four, defeating Hellas Verona 2:0.

Juventus' situation before the round was a bit more complicated, as they not only needed to win the match but also rely on their opponents stumbling. In the end, the old lady couldn't even manage that, since the Turin derby ended in a 2:2 draw, despite Dušan Vlahović's double.

AC Milan and Juventus will play in the Europa League next season.
