L. Enrique disagreed with M. Arteta: 'We deserve to be in the final' © SIPA

Paris Saint-Germain is just one step away from a historic UEFA Champions League trophy for the club.

On Wednesday, PSG advanced to the tournament final, once again overcoming London’s Arsenal in the second leg of the semifinal.

After the defeat, Arsenal's coach Mikel Arteta claimed that his team was the best this season in the entire tournament, but PSG's coach Luis Enrique disagreed.

"Not bad for a farmers league team?" - L. Enrique humorously began the press conference.

"We are very happy with this achievement and the compliments we receive for our play.

Mikel Arteta is a wonderful friend of mine, but I do not agree that Arsenal deserved to win. They play great football, but over the two matches, we scored more goals, and that is the most important aspect.

"Arsenal certainly played great matches and caused us many problems, but we deserve to be in the final,” said L. Enrique.

The Spaniard also did not hold back on praising the team's goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.

"How can you win the Champions League without a good goalkeeper? In this match, Donnarumma was simply phenomenal. He was the same in all the knockout matches that preceded this.

I can say the same about my defenders' play, which was also simply phenomenal,” said L. Enrique.
