FIFA continues to make decisions that raise questions in the football community.
It has been announced that right-back Jarell Quansah, who temporarily took over the position in England, has been suspended for two matches instead of one, as was initially planned.
Quansah received a red card in the match against Mexico. This penalty was deemed appropriate following a rough foul.
According to The Athletic journalist David Ornstein, the English Football Association provided evidence to FIFA that the referee misinterpreted the situation entirely.
The Football Association's (FA) evidence not only went in vain but also resulted in a harsher penalty.
The other two right-backs, Reece James and Djed Spence, have had injury issues in this tournament so far.
