Former player Georgas Freidgeimas thanked Edgaras Jankauskas, who left the Lithuanian national team.

“Ten years ago, I first played in the Lithuanian national team led by Edgaras Jankauskas as a player. At that time, I never imagined that in 2023 our paths would cross again – this time I would already be part of his coaching staff.

It was an honor and a privilege to know Edgaras from both sides – first as a player, later as a coach.

Over the years, I have come to understand even more that a coach's legacy is not just about victories or results. It’s about the people you have instilled confidence in, given opportunities to, and inspired to grow by your example.

Edgaras's leadership, trust in his coaching staff, and ability to unite a team around a common goal – these are the things I will take into my coaching journey. Thank you, Edgaras, for your trust, lessons, and the shared journey. I am proud to have been a part of it,” wrote G. Freidgeimas.

Justas Lasickas also thanked the coach.
