Italian football legend could be invited to the Italian national team to play farewell match. Italian national team coach Giovanni Trapattoni, who has been working with the team for four years, has previously received offers to invite Baggio to the national team. "I will inform him that if he agrees, I will invite him to the team to play a farewell match," said Trapattoni. 37-year-old Baggio, who has been playing in Italy for 16 seasons, confirmed that he would agree to return to the national team. The highest probability is that Baggio's farewell match will be on April 28, against the Spanish national team. "It would be like a reward for his wonderful career," said Trapattoni, who was Baggio's coach at Juventus in 1990. Playing for the Italian national team, Baggio scored 27 goals in 55 matches. The last time he played for the national team was in 1999 against Belarus.
