One of the most prominent German footballers of the last decade, Lukas Podolski, has ended his career.

The Germany international with Polish roots announced his retirement after a season in which he helped Zabrze's "Górnik" win the Polish Cup.

During his career, the 40-year-old forward won the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich and the FA Cup with Arsenal.

In 2014, L. Podolski became a world champion with the German national team.

At the end of his career, L. Podolski started developing a kebab business.
