The president of Vilnius "Žalgiris" team, Andrius Tapinas, commented on the tragicomic situation in the capital's "Riteriai" team.

This "very reliable" figure from Africa-Netherlands, Clancy Konadu, supposedly the owner of the Vilnius "Riteriai" club, continues to mock Lithuanian football, the LFF leadership, and all of us.

He promised the LFF president to cover at least part of the club players' salaries by Friday - about 30 thousand euros, although everyone understands that the club needs hundreds of thousands of euros to function normally. The LFF was deceived, as the money was transferred only just before the match and only 10 thousand, which was enough to cover the stadium costs for one match and pay a little for just four players.

The others were left with nothing. There was no money for security either, so on Friday, the top league match took place without security. According to the regulations, security is mandatory, and without it, the match should not have taken place, yet it somehow did. After the match, the "Riteriai" coach said that the players, not receiving their money, might refuse to train.

It seems that even their diamond patience and dedication to the game have run out. An even greater absurdity occurred today when the "Riteriai" B team players gathered to go to the II league match, but the bus did not arrive. After waiting for an hour, the players dispersed. Previously, one match of the main "Riteriai" team and one of the same B team already did not take place.

It is natural that all this is reflected in the media headlines, and instead of reading about the upcoming "Žalgiris" battle, the huge excitement surrounding Lithuanian football, and the potential attendance record for the "Top League," people are reading about the absurdity in Lithuanian football.
