Sports manager Michael Edwards is stepping back from the Liverpool project for the second time in his career.
It has been reported that the Englishman has resigned from his position as CEO of Fenway Sports Group. This was a project by the owners of Liverpool, involving several clubs.
According to journalist Ben Jacobs, M. Edwards made this decision last autumn. He expressed support for the Reds' sporting director, Richard Hughes, despite his future intentions.
FSG had plans to acquire Bordeaux and Getafe clubs, but ultimately, nothing came to fruition.
