In the final of the Australian Cup, second division club "South Melbourne" defeated "Melbourne Victory" team after a series of penalties.

There were no goals during regular time, but the teams were accurate in extra time, which ended with a score of 1:1. "South Melbourne" scored in the 117th minute, thus extending the penalty shootout.

In the penalty shootout, Jason Davidson missed, and after this player's shot, "South Melbourne" celebrated victory.
