Lithuanian champions and UEFA Conference League participants "Kaunas Žalgiris" managed to experience a shameful defeat during the international break.

During a training session, "Kaunas Žalgiris" played a friendly match against the second division Latvian team "Metta".

Željko Sopić's pupils had no chances of winning, as the guests from Latvia defeated their opponents 4:0.

Many key players were on the side of "Kaunas Žalgiris", since only four footballers are away with their national teams, all of whom play for the Lithuanian national team.

However, at least a few dangerous chances were had by the TOP League leaders, so the result is not entirely indicative.
