"Liverpool” club and Netherlands national team defender Virgil van Dijk revealed why he decided to continue playing for his country:

"I really only needed ten seconds.

Xavi Hernandez called me and said: You are V. van Dijk... I told him I am ready.”

Xavi became the coach of the Netherlands national team last month.

35-year-old Virgil van Dijk has been playing here since 2015 and has scored 13 goals in 96 matches.

The Dutchman has also been playing at "Liverpool” club since the beginning of 2017.
