Last Sunday, the Vilnius "Žalgiris" team suffered a painful defeat in the "Toplyga" league match, losing 0:2 to the "Panevėžys" club away.

However, the match drew attention not only for the performance of the Vilnius players.

In the stands of the Panevėžys stadium, a strange chant from a group of supporters from the capital, "Pietų IV," echoed, which contained words directed against the ethnic minorities living in Lithuania.

"Lift your hands proudly for our beloved club, for our beautiful colors, for the club, for the city, for the country, for Lithuania without foreigners, where freedom lives through the ages, and the tricolor flies high," rang out from the stands.

Interestingly, there are as many as 15 legionnaires playing for the "Žalgiris" team, which often leaves Lithuanian players with only a few spots in the starting lineup.
