Liverpool's "Everton" reached an agreement with "Monaco" on the last day of the transfer window regarding the acquisition of Folarin Balogun, one of the leaders of the US national team.

The 25-year-old American had already arrived in England, but there were problems during the medical examination.

However, the "Toffees" still wanted to acquire the player and agreed with "Monaco" on a slightly lower buyout amount.

Finally, in the last hours of the transfer window, F. Balogun changed his mind and refused to move to "Everton," reports journalist David Ornstein.

"Everton" tried to grasp at straws – they contacted "Manchester United" about the loan of Joshua Zirkzee, but the "Red Devils" refused to loan the Dutchman.
