A. Rudiger bids farewell to the German national team

The Germany national team has lost a notable player.

The defender Antonio Rüdiger, who belongs to the Madrid "Real" team, announced that he will no longer defend the national team's colors.

"After thinking everything through, I realized that it was time to end my career with the national team and make way for the younger generation.

When I first put on the Germany team jersey in 2014, I could never have imagined that I would ultimately play 86 matches with the team," wrote the 33-year-old A. Rüdiger, thanking his teammates, coaches, and fans.

The defender has fought for one title with the Germany national team – he triumphed in the Confederations Cup tournament in 2017.
