The saga of Julian Alvarez, it seems, is still not over.

The 26-year-old forward of Madrid's Atletico and the Argentina national team publicly stated this summer that he wants to move to Barcelona, but his current club did not agree to sell the player to direct competitors.

Still, this does not necessarily mean that J. Alvarez will remain in Atletico's ranks. His services are still of interest to London’s Arsenal, and the general director of the Madrid club, Gil Marin, openly stated that the Argentine might still leave the team. However, he confirmed once again that the forward will definitely not be sold to Barcelona.

"If he wants to leave the club, we will look for alternatives, but I can guarantee that Alvarez will not be sold to Barcelona,” Gil Marin stated while communicating with Movistar.
