D. Trump defends G. Infantino

FIFA president Gianni Infantino is going through a tough time.

Recently, the football official raised the idea of selling the organization package for the World Cup to external investors, which caused huge dissatisfaction among the majority of confederations.

Although FIFA rejected this idea, it seems that the damage to G. Infantino's reputation has been immense. UEFA, CONCACAF, and CAF addressed FIFA in an open letter on Monday, demanding accountability.

Defending the FIFA president was U.S. President Donald Trump, who posted a message of support on his social media account.

"FIFA would make a huge mistake if, for any reason, they even considered replacing President Gianni Infantino. He is a great leader who just organized the most successful World Cup in history. Without him, the organization will never be successful and profitable," wrote D. Trump.
