Amazon founder approaches acquisition of Liverpool shares

Internet retail giant Amazon's founder Jeff Bezos is expected to acquire a stake in an English Premier League club soon.

Sky Sports reports that the famous entrepreneur, along with a group of investors, is set to purchase approximately one third of Liverpool shares.

It is likely that an announcement regarding the completed deal may be made as early as this week.

Together with Jeff Bezos, the investor group includes one of the founders of Facebook, Eduardo Saverin.

According to Forbes, Jeff Bezos's net worth is estimated at a staggering 280 billion US dollars.
