The world football championship will finish on Sunday, where the finals will battle the national teams of Spain and Argentina.

As the final approaches, FIFA has announced the referee team that will oversee the most important match in football.

The main match referee appointed is the very experienced referee from Slovenia, Slavko Vinčič. For the 46-year-old Slovenian, this will be his first World Cup final, but he officiated the UEFA Champions League final in 2024 between Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund.

S. Vinčič's assistants will be his countrymen Tomaž Klančnik and Andraž Kovačič.
