"Manchester United” defensive midfielder Manuel Ugarte suffered a serious injury that will keep him at the club.

Journalist Rodri Vazquez reports that M. Ugarte confirmed the worst-case scenario – a torn cruciate ligament.

The defensive midfielder, along with Uruguay, left the World Cup after the group stage.

"Man Utd” aimed to sell M. Ugarte this summer and acquire two new central midfielders, alongside Ederson, who is arriving from Atalanta in Bergamo.
