As the Baltic Cup tournament approaches – good news for the players of the Lithuanian national team.

LKF President Edgaras Stankevičius stated to 15min.lt journalist Marius Bagdonas that this year the national team will receive a huge financial incentive.

It is reported that if the Lithuanians end a 16-year-long streak of failures and win the Baltic Cup, the team will receive a payout of 100 thousand euros.

If the team continues to impress and later makes a splash in the Nations League, they would be awarded an additional 150 thousand euros.

The total amount that the national team can expect for their performances is 300 thousand euros.
