Marco Silva is returning to his native Portugal after a long break.
The longtime manager of London’s Fulham has decided to leave the Premier League and take over the reins at Lisbon’s Benfica, reports journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The 48-year-old Portuguese has been coaching Fulham since 2021 and helped the club not only return to the Premier League but also establish itself there.
Silva will replace his compatriot José Mourinho at the helm of Benfica, who will take over the reins at Real Madrid.
