Julian Nagelsmann's tenure at the helm of the German national team is over.

Journalist Florian Plettenberg reported on Friday morning that the 38-year-old specialist has decided to step down from his position.

The Germans were unable to overcome the Round of 16 barrier at the World Cup, losing to Paraguay after a penalty shootout.

It is added that the German Football Association will soon begin negotiations with Jürgen Klopp, who is the main candidate to take over the national team's management.

J. Nagelsmann had been coaching the national team since 2023.
