J. Klopp introduces strict rules in the German national team

Attempting to restore the past glory of the German national team, coach Jürgen Klopp has introduced four new rules within the team.

According to "Bild”, one of the innovations is related to the team's dinner.

Under the leadership of Julian Nagelsmann, players were allowed to have dinner at their chosen time – for example, from 7 or 8 PM. J. Klopp wants the entire team to sit down at the table at the same time, and he wants dinner to also become a communal gathering for the team.

The use of mobile phones has also been banned during the preparation period before matches – in the gym, during warm-ups, or massage procedures. The coach wants the players to interact more with each other rather than looking at screens.

Another rule is that barbers will no longer be allowed into the national team's hotel. In J. Klopp's opinion, footballers should take care of their appearance before arriving at the national team camp.

Tighter regulations are also in place regarding family visits during major tournaments. Such visits will now be exceptions rather than the norm. This decision is associated with the preparation for the 2028 European Championship and the criticism that arose after the 2026 World Cup, claiming that the German national team's camp resembled a family gathering too closely.

On September 24, the Germans will face the Netherlands away in the Nations League. Later, they will have matches against Greece and Serbia.
