"Liverpool” club forward Hugo Ekitike may be facing the worst news.
The Frenchman left the field in the 31st minute of the lost match against PSG.
H. Ekitike risks missing not only the remainder of the season but also the World Cup due to injury.
The head coach Arne Slot commented on the forward's injury:
"It looks extremely bad, but it's hard for me to say how bad it is.
Everything will be examined tomorrow. We'll see how it goes, but it doesn't look good.”
"This season we've encountered player losses many times, but for H. Ekitike this is particularly difficult.
Players never want to experience injuries, especially during a season like this.”
The 23-year-old Frenchman scored 17 goals in 45 matches this season.
"Liverpool” club lost the match with an overall score of 0:4 and ended their participation in the Champions League tournament.
