„Liverpool“ lost again to Paris „Saint-Germain“ with a score of 0:2 on Tuesday and exited the UEFA Champions League.
The English champions were on the attack against PSG's goal in the second half and even seemed to have a chance to take a penalty kick that was awarded, but after a VAR review, the referee rescinded it.
Liverpool's coach Arne Slot was very dissatisfied with this episode.
„I wasn't surprised, as there have been a lot of decisions against us this season.
I think the situation is very simple. If the referee hadn’t awarded the penalty, VAR certainly wouldn’t change the decision, but I’ve seen more than one rather soft penalty awarded on the pitch, but VAR didn’t rescind it, as there was contact. It’s clear that there was contact here too,“ – Arne Slot said while speaking to „Amazon Prime“.
