David Silva was one of the standout players at Manchester City during the early years of the Pep Guardiola era.
Speaking to the daily newspaper Marca, the Spaniard, who is reviving his football career in Hong Kong, explained how he moved to the Citizens.
"Barcelona wanted me in 2008, but Valencia were not willing to sell me at the time. When Valencia ran into financial difficulties in 2010, I made the best decision: to move to Manchester City.
"I had ten incredible years there, and people treated me wonderfully. Mancini often called me at the time and showed an interest in me. And, of course, Man City were not the club then that they are now,” said David Silva.
