Argentina's national team captain and legend Lionel Messi will play his last match for his country on October 6th.

Future "La Albiceleste" captain Cristian Romero spoke fondly about his teammate:

"We will never have a player like L. Messi.

He is the greatest player of all time.”

"We watched him play when we were very young.

He is our ideal and an example.”

39-year-old Lionel Messi has been playing for the Argentina national team since 2005 and has scored 125 goals in 207 matches.

He will play his last match against the Benin national team.
