Cristiano Ronaldo's departure from the Portugal national team's camp not only caused a lot of emotions in the football world, but it also hit the team's social media statistics once again.

According to "A Bola," after the conflict arose, the Portuguese lost millions of followers.

It is estimated that just a couple of hours after the conflict, the Portugal national team's "Instagram" account lost 300 thousand followers.

After a day, this number grew significantly – more than 5 million fans left the account, and instead of 24.9 million followers, only 19.5 million remained.

Meanwhile, on his personal "Instagram" account, Cristiano Ronaldo has over 679 million followers.
