Madrid's Atletico is preparing to take action regarding Barcelona's actions in courting Julián Álvarez.

The Catalans are actively pursuing Atletico's attacking leader, but the Madrid club does not want to part ways with the Argentine.

The player himself stated after the World Cup match with Austria that he would like to move to another team.

For its part, Atletico's general director Miguel Angel Gil revealed that they would take action and report Barcelona's actions to FIFA.

"Our main goal is to defend Atletico's interests. For this reason, we will appeal to FIFA regarding Barcelona's actions. Barca is negotiating with a player who has a contract and cannot negotiate with other teams,” said Atletico's director.
