On September 26, a football tournament of the Keturvalakiai community took place at the Keturvalakiai school football field. This is the second year of the event, becoming a tradition that this year included not only the home team but also guests from Lakštučiai, two teams from Kybartai (Vilkaviškio district), Šakiai, and Ringaudai (Kaunas district).

From September 23 to 30, the 'UEFA grassroots week' is taking place throughout Europe, during which various football events engage people. Each football event is a celebration for everyone who wants to enjoy and rejoice in this wonderful game.

The teams competed in a single round system - each against each. The undefeated Keturvalakiai team took first place, collecting 15 points. The second place went to the Lakštučiai community football players, who scored the same amount of points as the Šakiai community team. Only thanks to a better goal difference did the Lakštučiai team adorn themselves with silver medals, while the players from Šakiai received bronze medals.

The prize-winning teams were awarded medals and trophies established by the Marijampolė County Football Federation, which were presented by the chairman of the Keturvalakiai community, Arvydas Kuršvietis.

Players from the Marijampolė FK "Sūduva" team received jerseys in the tournament, with Keturvalakiai community team player Gediminas Galinskas and Šakiai community player Tomas Steponaitis being recognized.

This tournament is an excellent example of how community spirit, friendship, and love for football can bring together people from different towns and communities. May there be no shortage of excitement, smiles, and friendship on the football field, and may this beautiful tradition grow each year!" - rejoiced Neringa Jankauskienė, the deputy director of the Kazimieras Baršauskas School-Multi-Functional Center in Vilkaviškis district.

After the tournament, all participants enjoyed a delicious meat stew prepared by the Keturvalakiai community hosts.
