The Lithuanian national team has an open path to triumph in Division D.

On Thursday, there were two positive results for Edgaras Jankauskas' pupils.

Azerbaijan failed to overcome Liechtenstein in the second group – 0:0. The match took place in Azerbaijan's fortress, where the Lithuanian national team will arrive this Sunday.

In the other group, Malta drew 1:1 with Gibraltar.

If Lithuania wins both of its upcoming matches confidently, one can expect a first place in Division D and additional qualification for the European Football Championship.
